The usual variants like Broket, Brokit, Brokat, Brokett, Brokitt, Brokatt, Brockett, Brockitt, Brockatt, Brochet, Brecket, Brocat, Broquet, Broget, Brockell have always been checked, and often Braket etc.

6. IPMs

There are 14 Brockett IPMs in the PRO, dating between 1477 and 1623, mostly on parchment. The 2 sons of Thomas and Dionisia who went south both had IPMs carried out on their property: Thomas for Essex and Herts and Edward—Thomas' heir—for Herts. The remaining IPMs all concerned Edward's descendants.
